After much anticipation, Motorola is finally ready to unveil its first flagship smartphone in the global markets. To those unaware, the brand launched the first smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in China – The Motorola Edge X30. Now, this handset is about to reach global markets as Motorola Edge 30 Pro. If you’re following the Motorola Edge X30, you’ll know most of its specifications. Anyway, a new leak comes to further confirm the Motorola Edge 30 Pro specifications. It will have some minor tweaks here and there, but will essentially be the same flagship levered smartphone.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro alleged specifications
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro share most of the Edge X30 internals, but there will still be differences. For instance, the biggest difference is that the global variant has an in-display fingerprint scanner. To recall, the Chinese version has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Today’s leak states that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will flaunt a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate. It has a Full HD+ resolution and a centered punch-hole. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the device has a 60 MP selfie snapper just like the Chinese variant. However, the under-screen camera probably won’t reach global markets.

The handset, obviously, will bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It will come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. The company may even launch a higher storage option for select markets. The phone also has a triple-camera setup and it’s quite compelling. It brings a primary 50 MP main camera, and 50 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2 MP depth snapper. The handset will run Android 12 straight out of the box. Moreover, it will have a layer of MyUX on top of Android.
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will draw its powers from a 5,000 mAh battery with 68 W fast-charging. The flagship will be Motorola’s fastest charging smartphone on global markets to date, but pieces of evidenceĀ suggest that more will come. The handset will come with as many as 13 5G bands and will offer support for Wi-Fi 6E as well. The pricing, unfortunately, remains a mystery. According to reports, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will reach global markets and India very soon.
The upcoming flagship will be the first flagship of 2022 from Motorola. However, the rumors suggest it won’t be the only one. The rumor mill is constantly talking about a mysterious device codenamed Motorola Frontier with a 200 MP camera and, allegedly, Snapdragon 8 Gen1+.
