BlackShark 4 Pro Gaming Smartphone Global launch

The Black Shark 4 Pro Gaming Smartphone has been launched globally, after going official in China almost a year ago. In March 2021, Black Shark launched the BlackShark 4 and the BlackShark 4 Pro in China. The BlackShark 4 series smartphones had record sales in the country. Shortly after hitting the store shelves in China, BlackShark 4 made its foray into the global market. Now, nearly a year after its launch, the BlackShark 4 Pro is headed to the global market.

BlackShark 4 Pro Going Global Soon

The Pro variant is available in two memory and storage configurations. These include 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 12GB RAM+256GB storage options. The base variant will set you back $579. Likewise, you’d need to shell out $679 to get your hands on the slightly larger model via Black Shark’s official website. Moreover, you can choose between three color options including Shadow Black, Misty Grey, and Cosmos Black. In the meantime, Black Shark is reportedly prepping to launch the Black Shark 5 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 under the hood.

Specifications & Features

The Pro sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Aside from that, the screen delivers an aspect ratio of 20:9 and 1300nits peak brightness. Moreover, the display carries HDR 10+ certification and it comes with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. It ships with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This processor uses the 5nm fabrication process.

Furthermore, the aforesaid processor comes with an integrated 5G modem and an Adreno 660 GPU. The phone offers LPDDR5 RAM, coupled with UFS 3.1 storage, and it runs JoyUI 12.5 based Android 11 OS. For optics, the Pro version features three rear-mounted cameras and an LED flash. It has a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP macro lens at the back. Upfront, the phone houses a 20MP selfie camera.

Also, the phone uses a 4,500mAh battery unit with 120W fast charging support to draw its juices. Other notable features include dedicated gaming triggers, Type-C charging port, a dual speaker set up, and a 3.5mm audio jack. As far as connectivity options are concerned, the BlackShark 4 Pro offers GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6 802.11 ax, 5G, and dual-SIM support. Lastly, the phone’s dimensions are 163.83 × 76.35 x 9.9mm and it weighs 220 grams.

It will be interesting to see whether or not, the BlackShark 4 Pro version arrives in the Indian market carrying a competitive price tag. More details about the Pro version’s global availability and pricing are likely to surface in the coming days.
