We have already informed you that OPPO released the Find X5 line models. The Pro version really seems to have no equals on the market. In this sense, the vanilla version looks more modest. But still, it is a great phone that can beat many rivals. Let’s get into details.
Like the Pro version, the self-developed image-specific NPU is the biggest highlight of the new machine. However, instead of the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 1 chip found on the Pro edition, the original variant comes with the Snapdragon 888. The latter is a powerful chip and in cooperation with the mentioned NPU as well as Hasselblad, it makes the camera of this phone really outstanding.
Design and Screen
The OPPO Find X5 has no plain leather and ceramic versions like its sibling. However, it still uses a glass back shell. The weight is 196 grams. There are elegant white, plain black, and mirror purple color options.
On the front, our protagonist uses a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 2400×1080 resolution and supports a 120Hz high refresh rate.
Hardware and Performance
The phone sports the Snapdragon 888 processor, which is paired with 8/12GB of memory and 128/256GB of native storage.
The OPPO Find X5 features a 4800mAh battery that supports 80W super flash charging and 30W wireless fast charging.
In other aspects, the handset comes with an X-axis linear motor, stereo dual speakers, Dolby panoramic sound, NFC, and more.
Gizchina News of the week
Finally, we should say that you won’t have any complaints about the software. The Find X5 runs the ColorOS 12.1 system based on the bottom layer of Android 12. It supports AI self-smoothing engine as well as new functions such as super recording, free translation, portable card package, and cross-screen interconnection.
OPPO Find X5 Camera
Well, you already realize that the camera is the main selling point of this device. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie lens. The latter is capable of providing high-quality video calls as well as great selfies. On the opposite side, we can find a 50-megapixel triple camera. The main camera uses an IMX766 CMOS with a 1/1.56-inch outsole. It also supports OIS. The ultra-wide-angle uses the same 50-megapixel IMX766 sensor. The telephoto lens has a 13MP resolution and supports 5x hybrid optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.
Find X5 also comes with OPPO’s self-developed dedicated NPU-Mariana MariSilicon X. This image-specific NPU chip itself also contains an image processing unit, which supports 20bit processing. This is 4 times the capability of mainstream flagship processors.
At the same time, it can directly integrate AI algorithms and 20bit RAW calculations into the RAW domain, reducing information loss and outputting high-quality image data.
Cooperating with Hasselblad makes the camera works more smartly.
