Redmi K50 Series Phones’ Specifications Known Before Launch

Earlier today, xiaomiui.net disclosed the key features of the upcoming Redmi K50 series.

According to the source, the codenames of the Redmi K50 series are matisse, rubens, and munch. The corresponding models are the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+ (Ultra).

Among them, the Redmi K50 will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 flagship processor. On the back, this version carries a 48MP main camera sensor, an 8MP super wide-angle lens, and a macro lens.

The Redmi K50 Pro will come with the Dimensity 8100 processor. As for the camera, the 48MP main and the 8MP super wide-angle lenses are identical to those of the above mode. But we have no information concerning the third lens.

As for the toppest model, the Pro+ will feature a Dimensity 9000 processor. The rear main camera will have a 108MP resolution. It uses the Samsung HM2 CMOS. The details of the other two cameras are not known yet.

Well, as you see, the Pro+ will come with an outstanding camera. Its unit pixel area is 0.7 μm, and the sensor size is 1/1.52 inches. Also, this sensor supports dual-core focusing and 9 pixels in 1 technology. When used in this mode, the unit pixel area will reach 2.1μm. In effect, it will be able to take photos at 12MP resolution in extremely dark conditions.

In addition, the Redmi K50 series will use an E4 AMOLED flexible straight screen and support up to 120W super-fast charging. The phones are scheduled to hit the market in March. Moreover, the Xiaomi MIX 5 will come along with these handsets.

As a reminder, the first model from this series is already available for purchase. It’s the Redmi K50 e-sports edition coming with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chip. But we are dealing with a gaming smartphone. So it’s logical to know that its key features refer to gaming.
