Vivo is going to bring more than X-series smartphones this year. Recently, a smartphone spotted at the 3C certification has been touted as the next Vivo NEX 5. However, it seems that the device will debut a brand new lineup and will be dubbed Vivo X Note. As per the tipster WHY LAB from China states that the device, previously believed to be the NEX 5, will debut the new Vivo X Name in the Chinese market. He also brought some new specifications for the handset.
According to the tipster, the Vivo V2170A was previously expected to launch as the VIVO NEX 5. However, the tipster states that the phone will debut as the new moniker. Worth noting that the smartphone has been spotted at the TENAA certification, but its details are still unknown. However, thanks to the tipsters WHY LAB and Bald Pand we have something to look at.
As per the 3C certification, the phone will bring an 80W fast-charging system. Interestingly, we can see another device in the BBK Group using the 80W charging standard. It probably will be a good standard for Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme flagships this year.

Vivo X Note alleged specifications
Anyway, moving on to the leaked specifications, the Vivo X Note will bring a massive 7-inch Samsung AMOLED E5 display. Apparently, Vivo wants to bring the “phablet” concept back with this handset. The panel will bring curved edges and a center-aligned punch hole. If the bezels are small enough, then, it may not look like a massive smartphone. Furthermore, the phone will bring a crispy Quad HD+ resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. As per the tipster, Bald is Panda, the device measures 168 x 76 x 9.2 and weighs around 221 grams.
Unfortunately, there is no word on the front camera of the Vivo X Note, but we can expect something beyond 16 MP. In terms of the main camera, the device packs a 50 MP Samsung S5KGN1 main camera. It also has a 48 MP Sony IMX598 lens probably for ultrawide shots, a 12 MP Sony IMX663 snapper, and an 8 MP OV08A10 camera with 5 x zoom. As per the tipster, the phone will also draw its powers from a massive 5,000 mAh battery with support for 80 W charging. We couldn’t expect less for a device with such a massive display. We can also expect wireless charging due to the premium approach of this handset.
Under the hood, the Vivo X Note will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and we expect 12 GB of RAM with up to 512 GB of Internal Storage. As per the rumors, the new phone will debut as soon as March alongside the Vivo Pad and Vivo’s foldable smartphone.
