Samsung continues to update its range of affordable devices and yesterday announced the Galaxy M23 5G and Galaxy M33 5G. No loud presentation was held, pages with new smartphones just appeared on the official website of the company. The characteristics of new products were listed, but the cost and time of their appearance on the European and Indian markets were not announced.
Both smartphones are similar in their filling, but they differ in appearance. As is customary today, the main differences are hidden only in the design of the main camera block and the actual number of these sensors themselves. So, the Galaxy M23 5G got a rectangular block with rounded edges, and the Galaxy M33 5G got a square camera. The design of the front panel is identical – Infinity-U screen with a drop-shaped cutout for the front camera.

Galaxy M33 5G has a case with dimensions of 165.4×76.9×9.4 mm and weighs 215 grams. It has a 6.6-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 2408×1080 pixels and a classic refresh rate of 60 Hz. For the main camera, a set of four sensors is available : 50 MP (f / 1.8) + 5 MP (ultra-wide, f / 2.2) + 2 MP (depth sensor, f / 2.4) + 2 MP (macro sensor, f / 2.4). For self-portraits, there is an 8 megapixel sensor.

The hardware basis is an unknown model eight-core chipset with a peak frequency of 2.2 GHz. According to rumors, this is an Exynos 1200 with a 5G modem. The Galaxy M33 5G offers 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 6000mAh battery; and Android 12 operating system with One UI 4.1 add-on. There is a fingerprint scanner and support for memory cards up to 1 TB.
The Galaxy M23 5G also offers a 6.6-inch FullHD+ screen, but the chip is different. Snapdragon 750G is installed here, which is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The smartphone also offers support for microSD cards up to 1TB; One UI 4.1 shell based on Android 12 and a fingerprint sensor. The battery capacity was 5000 mAh, they offered an 8 MP front camera; and a triple rear camera with 50 MP (f / 1.8) + 8 MP (ultra-wide, f / 2.2) + 2 MP (depth sensor) sensors.
