While Apple and Samsung are still thinking that their customers don’t need fast charging, the Chinese brands are going beyond and beyond in this particular segment. Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus, Vivo, Honor have been leading companies in the category. However, we have to say that the efforts of the BBK Electronics brands (Oppo, Vivo, Realme, OnePlus) are ahead of the competition. In fact, these companies have “created” the fast-charging back when Oppo introduced its SuperVOOC and made it available on many devices. Now, most of these brands provide mid-range smartphones with fast charging, and the flagships are leaving our jaws on the floor. BBK Electronics brands’ future smartphones will bring 80W, 150W, and even 200W charging. Apparently, Realme will be the first with the Realme GT Neo3 launching with 150W charging.

The Realme GT Neo3 will debut on March 22 in China. Ahead of the release, Realme has been sharing and confirming some of the phone’s details to build the hype. The upcoming device will bring the excellent MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC with a flagship-like performance. However, the device will also have other fancy goodies to offer. For instance, it will pack the 150W UltraDART fast wired charging, and today, the company has released another teaser for it.

The Realme GT Neo3 will have, at least, one variant with a 4,500 mAh battery. That one will bring the 150 W UltraDART charging technology which will charge the device from flat to 50 percent in just 5 minutes. A full charge will take less than 20 minutes. To ensure the safety of the charger, Realme states that the phone has passed 41 TUV Rheinland safety tasks. This is a result of an independent chip responsible for the charging curve. Moreover, there is an additional cooling pad solution that maximizes heat dissipation.

More recently, an OnePlus smartphone has passed through the 3C certification. The handset boasts a 160 W fast-charging, and Oppo has introduced its own 150 W SuperVOOC charger. We assume that all these brands are using the same technology. It won’t be the first time that we see technology being shared and rebranded by multiple BBK brands.

As per the rumors, there will be a variant of the Realme GT Neo3 which will have a bigger 5,000 mAh battery. That one will have charging limited at 80 W. Of course, that is still a lot for the big majority of users. The device will bring other fancy features like an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and Android 12. It will be the first Realme smartphone with a centered punch-hole. Furthermore, there will be a special edition called Realme GT Neo3 Le Mans edition. With a distinct design.
