At the new product launch event, apart from the vanilla version, we also met the Redmi K50 Pro. Like Xiaomi, Redmi wants to leave its name in the premium smartphone segment. And the newly released phone has all chances for this.
The Redmi K50 series has 4 color variants, namely ink feather, serene glow, silver trace, and magic mirror. The thickness of the body is 8.48mm.
Hardware
The Redmi K50 Pro sports the Dimensity 9000 flagship processor. It’s not the pioneer, as the OPPO Find X5 Pro hit the market earlier. Anyway, there are a few features that make the phone stand out. For instance, it comes with a 3950mm² super large VC liquid cooling + 7-layer graphite system. So when playing heavy games for a long time, they will run at a stable high frame rate. Also, at room temperature of 25 ℃, the fuselage will reach only 46 ℃.
The Dimensity 9000 adopts TSMC’s 4nm process. It also uses a new generation of Armv9 architecture + X2 super core. The GPU and APU are upgraded and it adopts up to 5 self-developed technologies. Due to them, in AnTuTu, scores over 1.04 million points.
The Redmi K50 Pro sports the same “Surge P1” charging chip as the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro. Thus, it supports 120W charging and comes with a 5000mAh battery. The latter will be fully charged in 19 minutes.
In addition, Redmi K50 Pro uses LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS3.1 native storage. The rest of the noteworthy features include Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6 160MHz, precise navigation, Dolby stereo dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, multi-function NFC3.0, etc.

However, we should also mention that there is no in-screen fingerprint recognition module. So the Redmi K50 Pro still uses the side fingerprint recognition method. But its recognition rate and speed are better than screen fingerprint modules. At the same time, the cost is lower.
Redmi K50 Pro Display And Camera
The Redmi K50 Pro house a Samsung 2K flexible straight screen with a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels. This 6.67-inch display also has a 2.64mm ultra-narrow chin. Like the regular version, this professional color quasi-primary color screen supports ambient color temperature sensing as well as Dolby Vision HDR mode. The pixel density reaches 526PPI. And of course, it supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness is 1200nit.
The screen is one of the biggest highlights of the handset. It has obtained DisplayMate A+ screen certification and achieved 16 screen records. In addition, due to the Corning Gorilla Victus protective glass, compared with the fifth generation of Corning Gorilla Glass, the anti-drop performance is improved by 1.5 times, and the scratch resistance performance is improved by 2 times.
The rear camera part looks somewhat similar to the previous Redmi Note 11 at first glance. It also incorporates some design elements of the most beautiful Xiaomi mobile phone CIVI. The handset carries a 100-megapixel Samsung S5KHM2 main sensor, which supports OIS. Due to the 1/1.52″ outsole, it supports fast shooting. There is also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The front of the machine carries a 20MP lens, which uses the Sony IMX596 sensor.
