Recently, Apple whistleblower ShrimpApplePro released a set of CAD drawings of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. From the images, we can see that the forthcoming flagship model of the new series will get a new design. Particularly, the notch part of the smartphone that has been used for a few generations will be replaced with a punch-hole screen design. This will increase the screen ratio a lot.

Apart from the screen change, the iPhone 14 Pro Max comes with narrower bezels. The borders around the screen are 1.95mm. This is way better in comparison to the 2.42mm bezels on the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the iPhone 14 series will use a 48-megapixel lens on the rear. It will have a sensor size of 1/1.3 inches, a single pixel of 1.22μm, and support for quad-pixel integration (12MP). Moreover, next year, the Cupertino-based company will use a periscope lens on the iPhone 15 series. Thus, apart from changing the appearance of its iPhones, the company will also touch hardware, particularly, the camera.
My prediction is the same – under-display Face ID coming in 2024 (iPhone 16), and this time schedule is less of a technical issue and more of a marketing purpose. https://t.co/yK17YkQEEX

Gizchina News of the week
This is incomparable to Android phones (on paper). Since the iPhone 6S launched in 2015, the main camera of Apple’s mobile phone has always had a 12MP resolution. So this is a major change that should make Apple fans happy. In fact, the reason to increase the resolution of the camera is not only the industry trend. We mean Apple does this mainly to enable 8K video recording. The latter requires at least a 33MP resolution.
In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro Max CAD drawings show that the 6.7-inch body has a length of 160.71mm, a width of 79.53mm, and the maximum thickness of the camera with the bump has increased to 12.16mm. So everything proves that Apple will put a new CMOS.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max rear camera bump height is 4.18mm from black glass to top, while the rear camera with the metal ring is 13.85mm in diameter. Without the metal ring, the camera is 8.05mm in diameter, the rear flash is 6.9mm in diameter, and the LiDAR sensor has a diameter of 6.5mm.
iPhone 14 Series
Well, there will be four models in the iPhone 14 series. They are the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
However, only the Pro models will sport the new Apple A16 Bionic processor. Unlike these two, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will still use the old A15 processor.
All four new models will come standard with 6GB of memory. But the manufacturer will bring some differences here as well. For instance, the Pro versions will use LPDDR 5 memory, while the standard versions will still use LPDDR 4X memory.
Lastly, Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted that the under-screen Face ID will not come until the iPhone 16 series. So the next two generations will use iPhone’s traditional biometric identification methods.
