OnePlus launched its OnePlus Nord CE 2 smartphone in February. The CE series basically stands as cost-effective versions of existing “Nord flagships”. As a result, the Nord CE 2 is basically a cost-effective variant of the Nord 2. Don’t get me wrong, the numbered OnePlus Nords aren’t exactly flagships, but are still the highest devices on the Nord family. Now, OnePlus wants to add one more step to this lineup by bringing a Nord CE 2 Lite. We still don’t know if these devices are replacing the OnePlus Nord N series or are just more variants being added to the math, but the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is definitively coming. The device had some of its specifications leaked before, now a set of leaked renders confirm its design.
As previously speculated, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is coming as a rebranded Realme V25. The V25 was launched in China, and as usual for this series, will remain exclusive to the Chinese market. However, its specifications are coming soon for global markets with a new OnePlus makeover. Today, tipster Yogesh Brar has shared a new render confirming the design of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite design and key specs confirmed
The design confirms several of the device’s key elements, but the tipster also comes with a list of specifications. Since it’s based on a Realme smartphone, the device will lack the alert slider which has been a tradition on the OnePlus smartphones. However, this is something that the regular OnePlus Nord CE 2 already lacks. Moreover, with this new “rebranding” strategy we believe that more and more smartphones will miss this feature. The upcoming OnePlus 10R will also lack an alert slider, and several reports suggest it’s just a rebranded Realme GT Neo 3.
