Tecno Phantom X India launch Timeline, Color Variants & Specs Tipped

The Tecno Phantom X smartphone’s India launch timeline, its specifications, and color variants have been tipped. Tecno Mobile launched its first premium smartphone dubbed the Phantom X in Africa in June last year. The phone sports an AMOLED display, a decent 50MP main camera, along with a telephoto lens. Moreover, it supports 33W fast charging.

Now, a report by PassionateGeekz hints at the Tecno Phantom X smartphone’s imminent launch in India. According to the publication, the Tecno Phantom X will launch in the country later this month (April 2022). Furthermore, the phone will be reportedly available in two color options including Summer Sunset and Starry Night Blue. To recall, the Tecno Phantom X smartphone’s specifications were revealed ahead of its debut last year.

So, we know that the Phantom X global variant ships with 8GB of RAM and offers 256GB of onboard storage capacity. There is a possibility that Tecno Mobile could launch the Phantom X with the same configuration for the Indian market. Alternatively, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer could bring lower variants including an 8GB RAM+128GB storage model to keep the price in check. Despite carrying a reasonable price tag, the Phantom X offers sufficiently good specs and features.

For instance, it sports a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display that has curved edges and delivers FHD+ resolution. Furthermore, the screen features a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout for the front shooter. It also provides a decent refresh rate of 90Hz and has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top for additional protection. Under the hood, the phone packs a powerful MediaTek Helio G95 12nm processor. Aside from that, it has a competent 900MHz Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU.

Moreover, the smartphone comes with a myriad of connectivity options. These include a USB Type-C, GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, and 4G VoLTE. The Tecno Phantom X has 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. Also, it runs Android 11 with HiOS custom skin on top. The phone uses a 4,700mAh battery to draw its juices. In the photography department, the Phantom X has three rear-mounted cameras. This rear camera island comprises a 50MP main sensor with quad-LED flash and f/1.85 aperture. Aside from this, the phone has an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP 50mm portrait sensor. Upfront, the phone features a 48MP shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide lens for capturing selfies and video calling.
