A dedicated microsite for the Xiaomi 12 Pro has gone live on Amazon, confirming the smartphone’s availability in India. In other words, the Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone will be available in India via Amazon. Earlier this month, a report indicated that Xiaomi is prepping to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered phone in India. Now, it looks like the phone will be available for purchase in the country via Amazon.
To recall, Xiaomi launched the flagship smartphone for the global markets in March 2022. The phone’s global model packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. For optics, it has three rear-mounted cameras, featuring a 50MP main sensor. Furthermore, the phone delivers a superior listening experience courtesy of a four-unit speaker system. This speaker setup has a dedicated tweeter for an enhanced audio experience. The phone’s 4,600mAh battery offers 120W fast wired charging support.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone’s availability in India was recently confirmed by Amazon. A microsite for the upcoming handset is currently live on the e-commerce website without any key details. Regrettably, the microsite doesn’t even reveal the Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone’s price in India. Moreover, the microsite doesn’t shed light on the Xiaomi 12 Pro India launch date either. The phone was launched globally with a $999 price tag (about INR 76,300) for the 8GB RAM+256GB storage model.

Furthermore, the new Xiaomi phone will be available in Purple, Grey, and Blue color options. Notably, the Xiaomi 12 Pro Indian model will retain the specs of the global variant. The phone runs MIUI 13. The 12 Pro sports a 6.73-inch E5 AMOLED display with WQHD (1,440×3,200 pixels) resolution. Also, this screen offers a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. It has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top for additional protection.

The phone adopts the same LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) backplane technology that Apple uses for its premium iPhones. Further, the Xiaomi 12 Pro packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. This processor is comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offers up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For optics, the phone has three cameras on the back. To recall, the smartphone’s DxOMark scores were officially released earlier this month, revealing the phone’s disappointing score of 131 points.

For connectivity, it provides options such as 5G, 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, NFC, Infrared (IR), GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth v5.2.
