Now, it looks like the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is prepping to unveil another impressive handset under the Redmi 10 series. The upcoming Redmi 10 series device will carry the Redmi 10A moniker. Moreover, it is the most affordable phone from Xiaomi with a starting price of 699 yuan (about $110). Regrettably, details about the Redmi 10A smartphone’s exact launch date and price in India are scarce at the moment.

However, noted leaker Paras Guglani has divulged vital information about the Redmi 10A phone’s launch date in India in his latest report for Passionate Geekz. According to Paras, Xiaomi is prepping to launch the Redmi 10A in India later this month. If this speculation proves to be true, the Redmi 10A could go official in the country on April 20. To recall, Xiaomi brought the pocket-friendly handset into the Chinese market earlier this year. However, the tech giant isn’t shedding any light on the new Redmi 10 series phone’s debut in India.

In the meantime, Xiaomi had its hands full since the Xiaomi 12 Pro India launch was right around the corner. For those who are unaware, the handset arrived in the country at 12 PM on April 12. Despite the lack of an official confirmation, it is highly likely that the Redmi 10A Indian variant will retain most of the specs of the Chinese model. Paras suggests that the phone will be available in two storage options. Moreover, consumers will be able to choose between three color variants.

The Redmi 10A Indian model will be up for grabs in 3GB RAM+32GB storage, and 4GB RAM+64GB storage options. Also, the phone could sell for less than INR 10,000 in the country. The 10A will be available in Grey, Black, and Blue color options. Moreover, the phone sports a 6.53-inch LCD panel that offers HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 400 nits. It has a waterdrop notch that houses the front shooter. Under the hood, it packs a MediaTek Helio G25 processor, and a PowerVR8320 GPU.
For optics, the 10A features a single 13MP shooter and an LED flash on the back. Upfront, the phone has a 5MP snapper for video calls and capturing selfies. The rear panel also houses a fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the handset comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging out of the box. For connectivity, it features a micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone runs Android 11 OS with MIUI 12.5 on top. Lastly, it measures 164.9 × 77 × 9.0mm and weighs 194 grams.
