Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, is preparing for the official launch of its high-end flagship, Xiaomi 12 Ultra. This device will be the top version of the Xiaomi 12 series. Back in December, Xiaomi released the first models in the Xiaomi 12 series. This series already has the Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. A recent report reveals that this device will arrive in a couple of weeks. Popular Weibo tech blogger, @DCS reveals new information regarding an upcoming Xiaomi top flagship. According to him, a Xiaomi flagship will have a “150W-level super-100W large battery solution”. He further claims that this solution uses Qualcomm’s new platform and it is currently under testing.
In other words, the Xiaomi top flagship will come with Qualcomm’s new platform and 150W superfast charge. This will set a new record for Xiaomi mobile phone performance. However, the news did not mention the specific model information. According to Xiaomi’s product line planning, the flagships that have not been launched this year include the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, MIX 5 series, and MIX Fold 2. Any of these devices could come with this feature.
Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi 12 Ultra will probably miss out
It is important to note that at present, multiple sources claim that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is already done. The tentative release schedule for this smartphone is Q2 2022. This means that the latest that this device will launch is in June this year. It will be one of the first models to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC.
Judging from this time frame, Xiaomi 12 Ultra will miss the 150W fast charge, which is a little regrettable. However, although there is no new technology for fast charging, it is basically no objection that Xiaomi 12 Ultra will use the 120W fast charging. This smartphone will also come with strong imaging technology.
According to reports, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra may adopt the triple main camera solution + super-telephoto lens with a high-pixel 5x telephoto lens. The imaging effect will be very decent and some self-developed new technologies will be added. We expect this device to continue to dominate the DxOMark rating.
Previous renders of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra show that its rear camera is very large. It covers the entire upper half of the rear. Most likely, larger means a stronger imaging effect to a certain extent.Ā In addition, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra rear camera on the rendering also has Leica’s little red label. There are reports that this device will cooperate with Leica to become Xiaomi’sĀ first high-end flagship phone certified by Leica.
