Oppo launched a plethora of Oppo K9 series smartphones back last year. We’re not kidding, Oppo launched a bunch of smartphones under this lineup. Now, we’re in 2022, and thankfully, the company is done with this lineup. Instead, we’re seeing new Oppo K10 5G contenders coming to join the existing 4G vanilla K10. The new Oppo K10 5G will launch very soon in China and India as per the reports. According to the rumors, Oppo will initially launch the Oppo K10 and K10 Pro. The latter will reach an intermediary pricing level with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The vanilla will bring the MediaTek Dimensity 8000. That’s the Dimensity 8100 brother with fewer bells and whistles. The K10 has just acquired TENAA certification with key specs.
Oppo K10 5G specifications
The Oppo K10 has been spotted on the TENAA certification website with model number PGJM10. The Chinese authority confirms the launch in the market and also reveals a bunch of hardware details. The Oppo K10 packs a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 SoC under the hood. To those unaware, this will be the first smartphone to use the Dimensity 8000 SoC. To those unaware, this chip also comes with the 5 nm manufacturing process as the 8100 and the Snapdragon 888. The big difference relies on the clock speed. The device has 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.75 GHz. It has the same Mali-G610 MP10 GPU, however, the Dimensity 8100 is 20% percent faster. Apart from that, the chips are basically the same with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support.
The Oppo K10 will come with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM depending on the variant. Storage-wise it will have 128 GB or 256 GB of Storage. In addition to that, the phone has a 6.59-inch Full HD+ screen. It’s unclear if it’s an AMOLED, but we’re betting on an LCD as a cost-saving measure. The device will likely bring a high refresh rate. The TENAA images confirm a punch-hole cutout at the top-left that will serve as a house for the 16 MP selfie snapper.
In terms of the camera, there is a triple-camera setup. The main snapper is a 64 MP camera, while the secondary shooter is an 8 MP ultrawide. The third and final sensor is a non-impressive 2 MP macro shooter. We’re seeing that Oppo’s big focus with the K10 is to bring performance to a low-pricing point. For those who want a premium-like feeling, the company bets on the Reno series. The device will run Android 12 straight out of the box with ColorOS 12.
The K10 measures 164.3 x 75.8 x 8.7 mm and weighs in at 205 grams. The handset also draws its powers from a 5,000 mAh battery. Other details on the phone are still unknown.
I think you have mentioned the wrong processor. The Oppo K10 5g has been launched with a powerful Mediatek dimensity 810 processor.
I think 8GB RAM and 128 GB of storage will be enough, plus the Mediatek d810 is a pro features in it.
