Singapore’s best employers ranking relies on an online survey from August and September 2021. Furthermore, the survey involved over 17,000 employees. Each employer gains a score when the staff says they would recommend them to a family member or a friend. Out of 10, the top score was an impressive 9.16. Moreover, the employer in the 200th place scored 7 out of a maximum of 10. ST editor Warren Fernandez notes that there’s no dearth of options for workers in the current tight labor market. Furthermore, employees want to invest their time, and give their loyalties and energies to companies that treat them well, Fernandez explained.
How Does The Ranking Work?
Aside from this, Fernandez claims that workers want to be a part of a company that seeks to retain them. He insists that good employees understand this desire, and spare no effort to meet it. Moreover, he claims that a good employer builds their organizations and cultures that comprise a favorable environment for the workers. As a result, Fernandez says the employees become the ambassadors of their employers. So, the annual survey focuses on identifying, showcasing, and promoting the aforesaid qualities of good employers. Morever, Statista analysts Taylor Benedict and Wu Ruoh-Yiang revealed an interesting piece of information about this year’s survey.
About 70 percent of the employers who made it to the list this year, were present on last year’s list. The duo states that the 200 companies on the list displayed a notable commitment to their workers. They continue to live by employees’ expectations, especially during the unprecedented time of the coronavirus pandemic. Aside from this, they revealed that there is a significant improvement in the overall satisfaction of the surveyed employees as compared to last year. Those participating in the surveys rated their employers considering work environment, the reputation of the employer, and multiple other aspects of their job.
