WhatsApp has been bringing a lot of changes to its system in recent times. The social media application which started as a “social messaging app” is now becoming more business-oriented. Users of this app since had access to “business accounts” where you get an instant automated reply after sending a message to the account. However, WhatsApp will not end at this. Not long ago, the company announced that it is working on a new business feature. This feature will allow users to manage their business orders within the chat. The most recent business feature coming to WhatsApp will be the “cover photo”.
According to wabetainfo, “WhatsApp is now rolling out the ability to set up cover photos to some iOS beta testers to enhance their business profile”. The company has been working on this feature for many months. The cover photos will be available for business profiles. Now, some beta testers can feel the cover photos with the release of the WhatsApp Business beta for iOS 22.9.0.70. This beta is available via the TestFlight beta program

WhatsApp cover photo for businesses
After the installation of this new update, users will be able to add a cover photo to their business profiles. Some users will also get a message prompt informing them that they can now boost their business profile with a cover photo. To set up the cover photo, the user can either click on “Tap to add now” or pass through their business profile.
It is important to note that the cover photo will appear whenever people check the chat information of the business. Thus, the cover photo should be representative of the business. However, this cover photo feature is only available on WhatsApp Business beta for iOS at the moment. It will certainly roll out to Android beta testers later.
As for the cover photo size, you need a 1211 x 681 resolution image to fully optimize the available space. Again, if you are on the Android platform and do not have access to WhatsApp cover photo, you have no need to worry. This feature will be available soon. It is also important to note that a standard Whatsapp account can only view cover photos. They will not be able to set up cover photos as this feature is reserved for a WhatsApp business account. This feature hit the public domain two days ago. More improvements will come at a later date.
