Vivo might be done with its Vivo X releases with the Vivo X Note and Vivo X Fold in China. However, these two devices aren’t the only ones coming for the flagship segment in 2022. Vivo will still upgrade its long-standing X-series with new contenders. The Vivo X Note may be the company’s highest device for 2022, but the Vivo X80 series still has a lot to offer, especially for those who want the company’s next-level photography. Today, a new leak comes with the full specifications of the vanilla Vivo X80. The device will go official soon alongside the Vivo X80 Pro.
Vivo X80 specifications
According to the new leak, the Vivo X80 will pack a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that comes with Full HD+ resolution. The panel will also have a 120 Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the handset will bring the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. It will be paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and storage-wise it will be available in variants with 256 GB or 512 GB of Internal UFS 3.1 storage. For selfies and video calls, the device will bring a 32 MP snapper.
Moving around to the rear, the Vivo X80 will pack a triple-camera setup. It will bring a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.56″ lens and f/1.75 aperture. There will also be a 12 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 12 MP “portrait telephoto” which most likely offers 2 x optical zoom. The phone measures 165 x 75.2 x 8.3 mm and weighs in at 205 grams. The device runs OriginOS Ocean straight out of the box which means Android 12 as an underlying version. In global markets, the device will come with Funtouch OS 12.
The Vivo X80 will draw its powers from a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 80 W charging. The device isn’t much of a downgrade in comparison to the Vivo X80 Pro. It has the same display size with a Full HD+ resolution, and the battery is 200 mAh smaller. While the vanilla brings the Dimensity 9000, the Pro variant may come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Vivo X80 will lack wireless charging support, but we’re pretty sure the Pro variant will bring it. The rear camera setup is also different. The Pro variant brings a 50 MP main camera with f/1.57 aperture, a 48 MP ultrawide snapper, a 12 MP portrait shooter, and an 8 MP periscope zoom lens. Both devices will bring Vivo’s new Custom V1+ ISP.
The company will present the new smartphones on April 25. So we won’t need to wait much longer to know all the details. The Vivo X80 Pro also had its details revealed.
