Infinix is trying its best to popularize its smartphone brand among key markets in Asia. Today, the company below Transsion Holdings conglomerate is adding a bunch of new devices to its portfolio. As usual, we’re seeing new mid-range contenders with 4G connectivity. However, the appealing price may be the key to the success of these handsets. Today, the company has introduced, namely the Infinix Note 12, Infinix Hot 12, and the rumored Infinix Smart 6 HD. The two first are mid-range devices, while the latter is a super-budget handset with Android Go. Without further ado, let’s see what these devices have in tow for the market.
Infinix Note 12
The Infinix Note 12 packs a gorgeous 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. Unfortunately, the use of AMOLED comes at a cost. The display only has a 60 Hz refresh rate, as a higher refresh rate probably won’t fit in this price category. Under the hood, the phone packs the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. Note 12 comes with a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP macro lens, and a QVGA auxiliary module. For selfies and video calls, the device has a waterdrop notch that serves as a house for the 16 MP snapper. The processor comes alongside 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of Internal Storage with a micro SD card. In terms of software, the device has Infinix XOS 10.6 on top of Android 11. The Infinix Note 12 also has a 5,000 mAh battery with a 33 W fast charging.

Infinix Hot 12
The Infinix Hot 12 packs a 6.82-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution. However, since it’s a cheaper LCD the device has a 90 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone carries a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. It’s also expandable via a microSD card. The camera setup brings a cheap 13 MP main camera with a 2 MP auxiliary snapper, there is even a third lens, but it’s for AI. The phone draws its powers from a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W charging. Curiously, this phone which has lower specs has Android 12 with the same XOS 10.6 skin on the top.
The Infinix Hot 12 is an intriguing release. After all, the Infinix Hot 11 was just released in India.
Infinix Smart 6 HD
The Infinix Smart 6 HD packs a super old Unisoc SC9863A chipset made on the 28 nm architecture. The phone has an 8 MP main camera with an AI lens. There is also a 5 MP selfie shooter. Interestingly, the device has a centered punch-hole. The phone draws its powers from a 5,000 mAh battery with 10 W charging. The phone is paired with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage. The software is XOS 7.6 which runs above Android 11 Go.
The Android 11 in Note 12 and Smart 6 HD are certainly underwhelming. We can only wait and see if Infinix will be able to provide updates for them. Unfortunately, pricing and regional availability are yet to be revealed.
