iQOO is preparing the terrain for the release of the iQOO Neo 6 SE. To recall, the company launched the vanilla iQOO Neo 6 as one of the cheapest smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Now, the brand is gearing up to introduce a new SE variant bringing decent specifications for the table and a more affordable price tag. The handset release will happen very soon, and as the days are passing, we’re getting more details about the upcoming smartphone. Today, a set of new renders have been revealed from Chinese retailers. The device will go official on May 6, but thanks to the listings we can get a look at the phone’s design which looks identical to the vanilla iQOO Neo 6.
As we said above, the iQOO Neo 6 SE is almost a 1:1 copy of the iQOO Neo 6 in terms of design. This shouldn’t come as a big surprise, after all the phones have identical display specs and sizes. It’s basically iQOO using the same body with different hardware inside. While the iQOO Neo 6 brings the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the SE variant will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. The phone also brings 256 GB of Internal Storage and 80 W fast-charging support. These two specs are also available in the flagship version. According to the company’s teasers, this charging spec can bring the battery from flat to 100 percent in just 30 minutes.

iQOO Neo 6 SE alleged specifications
As per previous reports, the iQOO Neo 6 SE will pack a 6.62-inch Full HD+ OLED screen. The panel will also have a 120 Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, the camera specifications aren’t outed yet. Thus, we can assume that there will be also a downgrade in the camera department. The big answer for this is rather obvious. The iQOO Neo 6 SE will be considerably cheaper and will cut some corners here and there. The device brings the same display, battery, and charging tec. Therefore, we can only expect the downgrades to come in the processing unit and camera department. More of the phone’s details have been revealed recently.
In terms of software, the phone will run Android 12 OS with Funtouch OS 12 across global markets. In China, it will have the same underlying Android version but will switch Funtouch for the newer Origin OS Ocean skin. Besides the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant, this new Snapdragon 870 one, there is also a third alleged model. Back in the last month, an alleged iQOO Neo 6 variant ran Geekbench with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. This could end up as an iQOO Neo 6 Lite or something else. Time will tell.
