The OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone’s India launch could be around the corner as it has been spotted on the company’s India website. Last month, a new Nord-series smartphone codenamed Meili entered the private testing stage in India. This was a major sign that the OnePlus smartphone will hit the store shelves in the country soon. To recall, OnePlus launched two news smartphones dubbed the OnePlus 10R 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G in India not too long ago. Now, it appears that the company is bent on continuing its launch spree.
The word on the street is that OnePlus is prepping to launch another smartphone under its Nord series in India. Ahead of going official in the country, the purported OnePlus smartphone recently entered private testing. Now, despite the lack of an official confirmation, multiple reports claim that the handset could debut in India as the OnePlus Nord 3. As per a report by MySmartPrice, the Nord-series smartphone slated to arrive in India carries the codename “Meili”. However, the publication did not shed light on the upcoming device’s name.
OnePlus Nord 3 India Launch Imminent
Past leaks suggest that the OnePlus Nord 3 will launch globally with 150W fast charging technology in Q2 2022. Regrettably, details about the OnePlus Nord 3 India launch date are still scarce. However, it looks like the OnePlus Nord series will land in the country soon, as tipster Mukul Sharma has spotted it on the OnePus India website. Taking to his Twitter account earlier today (May 2), Mukul shared a screenshot with “OnePlus Nord 3” written on it. In his tweet, the reliable leaker states that the OnePlus Nord 3 is probably headed to the Indian market soon. Furthermore, Mukul reveals that he spotted the handset on the OnePlus India website.

On the downside, neither the tweet nor the screenshot divulges any key detail about the upcoming OnePlus smartphone. In the meantime, rumors making the rounds online suggest that the Chinese consumer electronics giant will launch the OnePlus Nord 2T soon. Moreover, the Nord 3 isn’t likely to arrive in India ahead of the Nord 2T, which could launch in the coming months. Notably, the OnePlus Nord 3 could launch in India either in June or July 2022. The phone will reportedly come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor. Aside from this, it could sport a 90Hz refresh rate display.
Moreover, the phone could come with three rear-mounted cameras, and pack a robust 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. If rumors making the rounds online prove to be true, the OnePlus Nord 2T could bring major upgrades over the OnePlus Nord 2. For instance, it will have a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor and feature a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED panel. Aside from this, it will probably use a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. For optics, the smartphone could house a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50MP main shooter.
