For a couple of years, many people have not been able to travel because of various restrictions. But the world is not the same as it has been two-three years ago. So Google has decided to help travelers. In a new blog post, Google’s VP of Travel Products Richard Holden revealed four new travel-centric features.
First, on Google Flights, users could track prices with a single click. This is going to be quite useful and allow travelers to buy tickets at the most affordable and convenient prices. This week, Google updated the feature and now you can track prices for any date rather than a specific time frame. Once Google lower prices within 3-6 months, it will push notifications. So you can plan vacations based on the most affordable flight prices. When you want to visit a concrete place but the prices vary a lot, you can set the tracking option and get notifications when your desired destination becomes more affordable.
Second, the Google Explore tool is going to help you to understand where you can go. Using various filters, you can find the best destinations. Those filters include the number of stops, the length of the trip, and the price of the flights and hotels. However, if you do not have plans to go far from home, there is a new feature called “Explore nearby”.

What Other New Features Appeared In Google Travel
When visiting the Google Explore page, there will be a pink dot and a bubble suggesting you explore nearby your current location. Once clicked, it will make suggestions for trips that you could take within a few hours of your home. Pick the desired destination, and Google will showcase how long it would take to get there.
Another amazing feature that Google offers would be useful for those who know where to go but aren’t sure where to stay. When visiting Google Travel, you will notice a new “interest layers” feature on the map. They show which parts of a city have the most options for dining, shopping, sightseeing, or public transit.
Lastly, when it comes to planning the vacation months ahead of time, Google Travel is offering a new feature. So users can bookmark hotels and vacation rentals. Moreover, there is an option that will show your saved properties at any time from the Saved tab on mobile or in the right panel on the desktop.
As you can see, Google Travel comes with a few amazing features that should make traveling easier and more affordable.
