JBL Launches Tune 130 NC & Tune 230 NC TWS Earbuds In India


The JBL Tune 130 NC and JBL Tune 230 NC TWS (true wireless stereo) earbuds with 40-hour battery life have been launched in India. JBL has been sparing no effort when it comes to expanding its audio portfolio in India. To recall, the brand introduced the Flip 6 Bluetooth speaker in the country last month. The recently launched TWS earbuds feature a short stem design and support ANC (active noise cancellation). Moreover, the latest JBL Tune series earbuds have four microphones and each earbud features dual microphones.

Furthermore, the new TWS from JBL carries an IPX4 rating. The JBL 130 Tune NC and JBL Tune 230 NC has built-in voice assistants including Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. So, you can control your smartphones hands-free after pairing. The JBL Tune 130 NC will set you back INR 4,999. Alternatively, you can go for the new JBL Tune 230 NC if you are willing to shell out INR 5,999. Moreover, the earbuds are available in White, Blue, and Black color options. The most notable difference between the two new earbuds is that the Tune 230 NC sports a short stem design, while the Tune 130 NC comes with a stem. Moreover, they come with a four-microphone system that enables voice pickup and ANC. The JBL Tune 130 NC has 10mm drivers, with 103dB of driver sensitivity and 32 ohms impedance. However, the Tune 230 NC packs 6mm drivers and has 105dB driver sensitivity with an impedance of 16 ohms. The new JBL earbuds 20Hz to 20,000Hz frequency response range.

Key Features

For connectivity, the earbuds feature Bluetooth v5.2, which will also be available in the upcoming Redmi Note 11 series. Moreover, you can pair them with Android and iOS devices using the JBL Headphones app. Aside from this, there are touch controls that let you answer or reject calls, and perform multiple other tasks. The new JBL earbuds carry an IPX4 rating for water and sweat resistance. They also support USB Type-C fast charging. Also, they support the Ambient Aware feature that allows the wearer to be aware of their surroundings. Both earbuds reportedly deliver playtime of up to 40 hours on a full charge, with a charging case.

The earbuds can deliver eight hours of playtime even on a single charge with ANC. This duration can be extended up to 24 hours by using the charging case. They can offer 60 minutes of playback with 10-minute of charging, thanks to the speed charge feature. The JBL Tune 130 NC weighs 11.6 grams and 40.4 grams with the case. Also, the JBL Tune 230 NC earbud weighs 10.2 grams and 47.3 grams with the charging case. JBL has been on a launch spree in India for a couple of years now. To recall, it launched the PartyBox 710 and PartyBox 110 portable speakers in the country with an IPX4 rating, and an awe-inspiring splashproof design in 2021.
