A few months ago, Vivo has introduced the Vivo Y75 5G in India. At that time, we didn’t expect the company to bring a 4G variant as well. After all, the future is 5G, the good chips are coming with 5G connectivity and it’s just a matter of time until 4G-only phones become obsolete. However, smartphone makers are still investing in the 4G phones for a simple reason – there are several markets where 5G isn’t a reality. India, one of the biggest strongholds for smartphone makers, is yet to deploy its commercial 5G networks. Therefore, 5G phones being launched there are ready for the future, but you can’t use their maximum capabilities right now. Taking this in mind, Vivo decided to launch a Vivo Y75 4G variant with a slightly lower price tag.
Vivo Y75 5G specifications
According to a fresh report from 91Mobiles, ZeeBusiness and MySmartPrice, Vivo will launch the Vivo Y75 4G on May 22 in India. The device will bring the company’s standard 6.44-inch display size. For now, we can’t say if it’s an AMOLED panel or a standard LCD. Anyway, the device will bring the aging MediaTek Helio G96 SoC. It isn’t really old if you take the things literally. The chip was launched back in the last year alongside the Helio G88. However, when you have in mind that this is the same Helio G90 tweaked and tweaked over again, you’ll know that it’s basically the 2019 chip with its 12 nm architecture. Anyway, this is the best MediaTek offering we have with 4G connectivity.
Gizchina News of the week
As per the rumors, the device’s panel is AMOLED and brings a Full HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. The cutout serves as the home for a 44 MP selfie snapper. The phone also has up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 Internal Storage. Vivo will likely provide its Virtual RAM feature for an extra 4 GB. Furthermore, there is a triple-camera setup with a primary 50 MP shooter, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2 MP camera.
The Vivo Y75 4G may draw its powers from a 4,020 mAh battery with 44 W fast-charging. The phone measures 7.36 mm in thickness and weighs 172 grams. It’s one of Vivo’s slim smartphones. Thankfully, it comes with Android 12 OS straight out of the box. Therefore, Indian customers will get Funtouch OS 12.
Worth noting, that the company already opened the sales of its Vivo T1 Pro in India.
The Vivo Y75 seems just as amazing as its 5G variant, at the end of the day both are powered by Mediatek
Cannot wait to use this device. Mediatek Helio G96 is a strong processor!
