The well-known insider @UniverseIce has shared more details on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which promises to be not only the best Samsung smartwatch for 2022, but also in the Android wearable market. According to rumors, the smartwatch will launch simultaneously with the Galaxy Watch 5, but the Watch 5 Pro will appear in only one size. Previously, the “basic” smartwatch model was available in the database of one of the certification agencies with case sizes between 44 and 46 mm.
According to @UniverseIce, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will feature a titanium case, as opposed to the aluminum and stainless steel used on the Galaxy Watch 4 and 4 Classic, respectively. By the way, Apple is already offering a titanium version of the Watch Series 7 starting at $799.
The leaker claims that Samsung will protect the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro with sapphire glass following the Apple Watch. For reference, sapphire glass is not as scratch resistant as marketers promise; and this was previously proven by well-known Youtuber JerryRigEverything. However, the sapphire crystal should offer more scratch resistance than the Gorilla Glass DX that Samsung is equipping the Galaxy Watch 4 series with.

Separately, @UniverseIce notes that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will not offer narrow bezels. Instead, the insider claims the bezels are “even a bit wider”. Unfortunately, the leaker didn’t provide any further details about the 5 Pro. However, we will for sure discover more details in the next few weeks.
It looks like Samsung is indeed preparing “professional” smartwatches as part of a new lineup. Previously, there were already rumors about the release of the Watch 5 Pro model, but now they have been confirmed.
The codenames for three of the company’s new smartwatches have surfaced online: Heart-S, Heart-L, and Heart-Pro. Presumably, the first two refer to the regular Galaxy Watch 5, only the S version will be more compact. But the Heart-Pro may well eventually enter the market under the name Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Or the Watch 5 Ultra to keep it united with the flagship Galaxy S line of smartphones.
The top watch is expected to be available in one size. They should get a much larger battery, which may mean a bigger screen, although this is optional. There have also been speculations that only such watches will receive some new sensors related to health tracking; and thus Samsung will split the lines.
