Back in the last week, Google officially disclosed Android 13 and its goodies along with the Pixel 6a and other products. During the event, the company also announced the expansion of the Android 13 Beta program to more devices. The company has been building a solid partnership with some Android OEMs to offer the Android 13 beta ahead of the full-fledged release. As a result, many users of smartphones that don’t belong to Google can already enjoy Android 13 and check what is coming with the new update.
However, this update may not be close to the final product that they’ll see on these third-party smartphones. After all, many companies have their own skins to put above the pure Android. This year, a total of 12 Android OEMs are joining the Android 13 Beta part. The big change here is that TCL is gone and now Lenovo sits in its place.
Around 22 devices can already get a “taste” of Android 13
Since covering current “Android” versions and an unfinished-upcoming version may be a hard task, some brands tend to only add one device to this program. However, there are still some that are able to provide builds for multiple products. Anyway, the current amount of devices that can already enjoy the Android 13 beta is 22. That may not be an impressive number when we take the number of Android smartphones in the market but is still a solid number. Unfortunately, joining the Android 13 beta does not mean faster updates for some of these OEMs.
