Xiaomi Pad 6 passes EEC certification – expected to launch in August

Xiaomi Pad 5

After the release of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 back in August last year, the successor to this device will naturally be Xiaomi Pad 6. Now, there are reports that the Xiaomi Pad 6 has now passed the EEC certification. Furthermore, there are reports that this device will officially arrive around August this year. This is about a year after the launch of its predecessor. In addition, the model number of this device is 22081283G and the codename is “L83”.

According to reports, there is also a Redmi tablet with model number L81A, codenamed “dagu”. Since the L81A is a low-spec version of the L81, there should be another tablet with the model L81. Considering that there is another model between the L81 and L83, it is expected that there will also be a Xiaomi tablet with the model number “L82”.

There are speculations that Xiaomi and Redmi are preparing to launch at least four new tablets – the L81, L81A, L82 and L83. As of now, there is no specific information regarding the specs of the Xiaomi Pad 6. Nevertheless, there are speculations that this device will come with a MediaTek processor instead of a Qualcomm CPU.

Xiaomi has a history of decent tablets

Xiaomi had a long break after releasing the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 in 2018. The company did not release the successor (Xiaomi Mi Pad 5) until 2021, which is three years in between. Before the release of the Mi Pad 5, Xiaomi used to focus on mid-range tablets.  However, with the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, the company adds some flagship features. Now, it appears that it will make an entry-level tablet in the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.

A previous report regarding the Xiaomi Pad 6 claims that this tablet will focus on the cameras. However, we do not have any information on the specific upgrades that this device will bring. Nevertheless, the Chinese manufacturer will bring very rich shooting functions and higher playability.

However, as of now, Xiaomi has not officially announced any details about its new tablet. Since the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 hit the road in August last year, the speculated August release date for the Xiaomi Pad 6 seem plausible. In the coming weeks, we expect to get more information regarding this device.
