Vivo is gearing up to introduce the Vivo T2 on June 2. The company already has revealed most of the specifications coming with the handset. As previously speculated, the Vivo T2 is a new smartphone series and not just a single smartphone with this name. That said, the company is also preparing a new compelling device dubbed Vivo T2x. This one will bring the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with a massive battery. The new info comes straight from Digital Chat Station, and apparently, the phone shares some similarities with the new iQOO Z5. That’s not a big surprise, as Vivo tends to re-use designs and hardware of its sub-brand and vice-versa.
Vivo T2x alleged specifications
According to the tipster, the Vivo T2x will come with a 6.58-inch screen. Since this is a mid-range smartphone, Vivo is cutting some corners with an LCD screen. We can expect up to 120 Hz refresh rate, as this high refresh rate is usually “cheaper” on LCD screens. We assume that the phone will have a Full HD+ resolution with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. Furthermore, the device has a punch-hole screen for a 16 MP selfies snapper. Apparently, the back will bring a dual-camera setup. There will be a primary 50 MP camera and a secondary 2 MP snapper that probably serves for depth sensing.
Gizchina News of the week
The Vivo T2x will draw its powers from a huge 6,000 mAh battery with support for 44 W fast-charging. This battery will provide a lot of juice, especially with the Dimensity 1300 SoC which has a 6 nm manufacturing process. This processor, as the name clearly implies, is an evolution of the Dimensity 1200 and its variants. It packs 1 x ARM Cortex-A78 core clocked at up to 3 GHz, 3 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6 GHz, and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2 GHz. The device also has a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.
As per the leak, the device will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will weigh over 200 grams while having a 9.2 mm thick profile. The phone will, obviously, act as a replacement for the existing Vivo T1x. This one has a slower processor, but a slimmer body. Of course, we’re pretty sure that customers will be happy with the new powers rather than having a sleeker design. The Vivo T2x may see a release on June 6 just like the regular Vivo T2.
