Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 Biggest Highlights
From the list, we can learn that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will come with a 7.6-inch Super AMOLED inner screen. What’s more interesting, it has a QXGA+ resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. As expected, the external screen is way smaller at 6.2 inches. And of course, it has less attractive parameters, such as an HD+ resolution. But the company has decided to retain the 120Hz refresh rate.
Gizchina News of the week
Under the hood, our protagonist will host Qualcomm’s recently released Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor. One of the major improvements over the previous model is TSMC’s 4nm process node. The latter and a few minor enhancements help the chip to provide 10%-30% better performance.
Anyway, apart from the toppest-end chipset, the foldable smartphone will come with two memory options of 12GB and 16GB as well as two storage variants of 256GB and 512GB. Of course, it will run the Android 12-based One UI 4 system.
The next selling point of the Galaxy Z Fold4 will be the 16MP under-screen camera. But besides this sensor, there will also be a 10MP selfie shooter. These are not the only camera lenses on the phone. The primary camera will include three lenses – a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and 12MP macro lens supporting 3x zoom. This module will be on the rear of the foldable smartphone.
Prior to this, we learned that this model will come with a 4400mAh battery and support for 25W fast charging. This is far from the fast-charging solutions of other flagship phones. But after the Galaxy Note 7 battery incident, the company is afraid of such technologies.
In other aspects, the Galaxy Z Fold4 ought to sport stereo speakers, support IPX8 dust and water resistance, Wireless DeX, Samsung Pay, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, be compatible with S Pen, and come with a USB Type-C port.
