Realme is giving very small steps when it comes to expanding its Realme UI 3.0 update to its smartphones. However, it’s better late than never, and the company is providing the promised update for some of its eligible devices. The company added the Realme 8i to the beta program of Realme UI 3.0 back in March 2022. Apparently, everything has been progressing well in these past two months, as the brand is rolling out the Open Beta update. The Open Beta is just one step before the full stability. The update that brings Android 12 goodies and new Realme goodies is rolling out for the mid-range smartphone through the Open Beta program.
Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta x Android 12 reaches the Realme 8i
The early access program usually offers up to 1000 seats. This is something that does not follow the phone’s entrance into the Open Beta range. Now, there is no limit to how many Realme 8i users can apply for the Realme UI 3.0 x Android 12 Open Beta update. So, if you want to experience the latest software, now it’s a perfect time. Realme states that the latest Open Beta version will occupy the place of the stable version and will reach users. So, there won’t be a difference if you have already joined the beta program.
Gizchina News of the week
As usual, the update still carries the “Beta” status in its name. Therefore, it’s not finished and may contain bugs. If you need the device working fully on a daily basis, it’s better to wait for some user feedback. The update may still carry some bugs, and Realme will likely iron out these bugs through the feedback. Worth noting that the first boot on Android 12 will take longer than usual. It’s also recommended to have plenty of battery life, after all, the optimization process will take a while and consume a lot of power.
Realme recommends open beta applicants backup their personal data before proceeding with the program. This will prevent any unnecessary data loss if any critical bug or glitch appears.
