Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, re-entered the tablet market with the Xiaomi Pad 5 after a three-year hiatus. Before the release of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, Xiaomi used to focus on mid-range tablets. However, with the Pad 5, the company added some flagship features. Now, it appears that it will make an entry-level tablet in the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. A few days ago, this tablet appeared in the EEC certification database. However, there are now reports that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will have as many as four models. These models are L81, L81A, L82 and L83. This should correspond to the Xiaomi Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro, Pad 6 Pro 5G and a Redmi tablet.
Previous reports claim that the Pad 6 will come with a MediaTek processor. However, the latest report shows that the three Xiaomi Pad 6 will use dual processors from both Qualcomm and MediaTek. In this way, there are a lot of optional processors. Qualcomm has Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. MediaTek has Dimensity 8100, Dimensity 9000 and so on.
Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi Pad 6 should have flagship options
Obviously, if it uses the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 or Dimensity 9000, the performance is very high. However, the price will certainly not be cheap. Nevertheless, the other chip options are more cost-effective. Most likely, the company will have an expensive as well as a cost-effective model. This will give users more options on which to purchase.
In addition to the CPU, the Pad 6 series should upgrade to 120W wired fast charging. At least, the top model will come with this flagship feature. At present, the Xiaomi Pad 5 series is up to 67W, and 120W is naturally more practical for 8000 mAh+ tablets.
As for other aspects, the outside world also expects a 144Hz LTPO display, more powerful sound quality and a new version of the MIUI for Pad system. According to reports, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will debut in the third quarter (probably August).
A previous report regarding the Xiaomi Pad 6 claims that this tablet will focus on the cameras. However, we do not have any information on the specific upgrades that this device will bring. Nevertheless, the Chinese manufacturer will bring very rich shooting functions and higher playability.
However, as of now, Xiaomi has not officially announced any details about its new tablet. Since the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 hit the road in August last year, the speculated August release date for the Pad 6 seem plausible. In the coming weeks, we expect to get more information regarding this device.
