Now, the Oppo A77 5G could be heading to Malaysia in the coming days. Regrettably, details about the handset’s launch date in the country are still scarce. To recap, the original A77 went official in China back in 2017.
Now, an ad for the A77 5G has gone live on the Oppo Malaysia Facebook page. Notably, the Facebook post sheds some light on the 5G-ready phone’s key specs. Moreover, the official Oppo Malaysia website now has a dedicated microsite for the A77 5G. This microsite divulges vital pieces of information about the handset as well. First off, the A77 5G sports a 6.56-inch LCD. This LCD panel offers HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Moreover, the phone’s display delivers a decent peak brightness of 600 nits. The A77 5G also features a sufficiently good camera setup. The rear-mounted camera module houses a 48MP main sensor. Also, it accommodates a 2MP dual rear camera for depth shooting. The phone uses the camera’s software pixel boost to capture 108MP photos. However, the A77 5G comes with a mediocre 8MP selfie camera. Oppo has been on a launch spree lately. It has been launching multiple handsets in India. Further, it is prepping to unveil the Reno 8 series in the country. Ahead of the launch, details about the Reno 8 Indian variant’s RAM, storage, and colors have been leaked. Now, it is unclear whether the A77 5G will go official in India as well. However, leaks suggest that the phone could make its debut in the country in August 2022. The new Oppo 5G-enabled phone comes with an IPX4 rating.
So, it can efficiently withstand scratches and splashes of water. Aside from this, the phone supports virtual RAM expansion up to 5GB. So, the A77 5G provides a total of 11GB of RAM. However, you need to turn the virtual RAM extender on. Also, the phone is available in a single variant. You get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage capacity. Moreover, you can choose between two colors including Midnight Black and Ocean Blue. As per the official website, the phone’s starting price is RM9,999.
