New Vivo X series smartphones surfaces at TENAA

Vivo X80 Pro

Vivo has recently introduced the Vivo X80 series with the X80, X80 Pro, and X80 Pro+ smartphones. Apparently, the company has another device to introduce and it’s coming fast. We don’t know exactly what the device will be called, but it has already emerged in China’s TENAA and 3C agencies. According to TENAA, the Vivo smartphone carries the Vivo V2219A model number and will bring a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution.

Vivo V2219A specifications

The Vivo X series smartphone will bring a dual-camera setup with a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary module. Honestly, this setup is super modest and is far from what the Vivo X80 series is offering. We’re probably seeing a “lite” variant here. The phone has an 8 MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it carries an unspecified 5G chipset with a base CPU clock speed of 2.2 GHz. This sounds familiar with many offerings in the market, especially with the Dimensity series.

In terms of software, there aren’t many surprises here. Apparently, the Vivo X series device will run OriginOS Ocean UI on top, which means Android 12. If it ever comes to global markets, we’ll see the software converted into the Funtouch OS 12 branch. The Vivo V2219A will come in three distinct variants with 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB of RAM. These are respectively packed with 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB of Internal Storage. In terms of battery, the device is listed with a 2,190 mAh battery. We’re not seeing a bright future for any smartphone with this capacity nowadays, and it’s likely a dual cell arrangement. So, in the end, the phone will come with a total capacity of around 4,400 mAh. The 3C listing also reveals the phone supports up to 80 W fast charging.

The Vivo X series listed dimensions are 164.17 x 75.8 x 8.59 mm. The phone weighs around 194 grams. For now, there is no word on a release, but judging by the leaks popping out, we expect this to happen pretty soon.

Vivo X80 Pro joins the Android 13 beta program

The Vivo X80 series was recently introduced in the Indian market. However, it seems that the market will soon get a new variant to enjoy. The X80 Pro is one of the few smartphones from Vivo to be part of the Android 13 Developer Program, you find more details here.
