A few days ago, China Mobile released the “Technical White Paper on 6G Network Architecture“. The technical paper proposes a “three-body, four-layer and five-sided” 6G overall architecture design. This is also the industry’s first systematic release of the 6G network architecture design. At the moment, 5G is already commercial in China for no less than three years. As of now, the number of 5G mobile phone users exceeds 400 million. According to the law that mobile communication technology is updated every 10 years or so, 6G is expected to be commercialized around 2030.
China Mobile’s “6G Network Architecture Technology White Paper” presents a cross-domain, cross-layer, and multi-dimensional 6G network architecture from three perspectives: spatial view, layered view and functional view through a systematic analysis of driving forces, judgments, and concepts.

6G network – a new era of high internet speeds
There is a proposal for the twin design, system design and networking design of the architecture implementation. This is based on the overall architecture design. In 2019, the world’s first 6G white paper “KeyDrivers and Research Challenges of Ubiquitous 6G Wireless Intelligence” hit the public. The white paper points out that most performance indicators of 6G will be better by 10 to 100 times. In the 6G era, it will be possible to download 10 HD videos of the same type in one second.
In addition, in June last year, the IMT-2030 (6G) promotion group released the “6G Overall Vision and Potential Key Technologies White Paper”. This paper shows that on the basis of 5G high speed, large connection, low latency and high reliability, 6G brings more. It is the new trend of immersion, intelligence, globalization and so on.
According to the latest data, the total number of China Mobile customers has hit 967 million. The carrier has a net increase of 202,000 this month and a cumulative net increase of 9.706 million this year. The cumulative number of 5G package users is now at 495 million.
