In January this year, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was launched, and the Chinese version was priced at 4,599 yuan ($687). By convention, the next-generation product of the Samsung FE series should be named Galaxy S22 FE. However, the latest reports regarding this series claim that there is no hope for a successor. According to @YogeshBrar there is no active development on the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE. Thus, it is safe to say that there will be no Galaxy S22 FE this year.
As of now, there is no official information from Samsung regarding this series. The company is yet to confirm whether or not it will release a new FE series. However, some netizens claim that the FE series is conflicting with the flagship S series. This could be the reason why the company is not releasing any this year.

Samsung Galaxy FE series is getting too close to the S series
Take the Galaxy S21 FE as an example, the smartphone was released in January this year. Just a few weeks later, Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 which uses the updated Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE updates to the Snapdragon 888 processor. In the case of a generation difference in the processor, the Galaxy S22 is only $100 more expensive. Thus, it appears that the Galaxy S series and FE series are struggling for the same price range.
Therefore, there is no need for Samsung to launch the FE series product line. It has been reported that Samsung not only cancelled the Galaxy S22 FE but may not update the FE series in the future. When it comes to discontinuing a series, Samsung usually doesn’t reveal any official information. Recall that until now, there is no official information regarding the Note series from Samsung. Even though we know that the Ultra model of the S series has now replaced the Note series, there are no official comments from Samsung
