Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, is working hard to release its latest flagship smartphone, Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Next month, a couple of flagship smartphones will arrive on the market and one of them is the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. This device will come with Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. However, as Xiaomi’s next-generation flagship product, in addition to a powerful processor, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra also has some top-of-the-line features. Xiaomi recently signed a collaboration with Leica and the first device to reflect this collaboration is the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

Today, Xiaomi’s official Weibo released a long article describing Xiaomi’s development in photography optics. According to the company, its latest camera configuration will bring innovative results. In the article, Xiaomi described the first 7P lens with a maximum aperture of F1.47 in the Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition in 2019. This camera supports ultra-wide-angle and macro shooting. By March 2021, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold released the first liquid lens. At the same time, the article also pointed out that in the future, the innovation of mobile phone lenses will continue to make efforts in many aspects such as computational optics, plane optics, geometric optics, and physical optics.
