Tecno POVA 3 hits the Indian shelves with monstruous battery

After teasers and leaks, Tecno POVA 3 is finally hitting the shelves in the Indian market. The device was unleashed back in the last week and reached global markets before. and it’s a modest mid-range smartphone, but when it comes to the battery size it does not disappoint with a massive 7,000 mAh battery.

Tecno Pova 3 specifications

The Tecno Pova 3 features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 2,460 x 1,080 pixels of resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The display makes room for a centered punch-hole notch that houses an 8 MP selfie snapper. Under the hood, the device brings the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC with a 12 nm manufacturing process. This chipset is basically the Helio G80 all over again, but this time around, with tweaks for the 90 Hz refresh rate. The device has up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 GB of Internal Storage. In terms of software, the device disappoints with Android 11.

The Tecno Pova 3 features a triple-camera setup with LED flash. The primary snapper is a 50 MP shooter with an f/1.79 aperture. There is also a 2 MP depth sensor and an AI sensor. The device’s biggest highlight is the monstrous battery with a 7,000 mAh capacity. Interestingly, there is also 33 W fast charging which makes charging this battery-less more painful than what it would be with modest charging. The device also has a USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a stereo speaker setup.

The all-new Pova series devices come in Electric Blue, Tech Silver, and Eco Black color options. In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual-SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5, and GPS.

Pricing and Availability

The Tecno Pova 3 costs INR 11,499 for the 4 GB + 64 GB variant. The one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will set you back by INR 12,999. Worth noting that Tecno says this is an “early-bird” price, the device’s price will raise in the future.
