ASUS is gearing up to introduce the ROG Phone 6 on July 5. It will be just another of the several Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC smartphones coming in July. The ROG Phone will be the strongest gaming smartphone of 2022, but will soon be joined by the likes of Lenovo Legion and Black Shark, as both companies are also preparing contenders with this chipset. Getting back to the point, the ASUS ROG Phone 6 is getting its details revealed ahead of time. The device has passed by TENAA and had its first images revealed in the listing. Today, a set of the new case renders have been revealed and confirm the phone’s design. In addition to that, we have a brief look at the new AeroActive Cooler and protective case.
The good side of the new renders is that they bring us a brief look at the ROG Phone 6 front. For another generation, ASUS brings symmetric bezels at the top and bottom parts of the display. It’s a look to the past, to how smartphones used to be. It’s also useful to avoid unwanted clicks that can happen in bezel-less smartphones.
Gizchina News of the week
The left side of the device has a USB port and a SIM slot. The right has shoulder triggers to improve the gaming experience. The camera setup brings a slightly different design with three cameras and a single LED flash. We’re not expecting impressive cameras, after all, this is not the focus of gaming phones.
ASUS ROG Phoen 6 AeroActive Cooler leaked
There is AeroActive Cooler that will make the device cooler during long gaming sessions. It’s different than the predecessor and has some extra clickable buttons on both sides of the fan. As a result, you can assign functions to these buttons and have extra triggers to enhance your gaming experience. The phone’s protective case has plenty of buttons uncovered. It also has a back panel, and we assume it comes to improve the grip during gaming sensors.
The ROG Phone 6 will bring a huge AMOLED display with up to 165 Hz refresh rate. The device will also bring a massive 6,000 mAh battery with up to 67W fast charging. ASUS will likely keep teasing the details until the launch. For instance, it already confirmed IPX4 certification.
