Xiaomi 13 to arrive in November or December
According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 13 series will come with a 2K+120Hz ultra-narrow bezel flexible curved screen. There are also reports that the Xiaomi 13 series will launch in November. Furthermore, this digital series flagship from Xiaomi may also debut the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Recall that previous digital series flagships (Xiaomi Mi 11 and Xiaomi Mi 12) arrived in December. This is because the flagship processor they use (Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) also debuted in December. However, with the reports that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will arrive in November, it is most likely that the Xiaomi 13 will launch in November also.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Unlike its predecessor which uses Samsung’s process, the SD8 Gen2 will use TSMC’s 4nm process. The chip will debut in the fourth quarter of the year. MediaTek will also release Dimensity 9000/8000 iterative chips, which will also use TSMC’s 4nm process. These chips will compete for smartphone brands next year.
