The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are Google’s flagship mobile phones currently on sale. However, the continuous problems of these two mobile phones have greatly affected the user experience. Recently, some Pixel 6 series users have reported that black dots appear on the phone screen. One of the Pixel 6 Pro users, “Beau Youin,” said a black dot appeared on the phone’s screen and seemed to keep getting bigger. However, the phone has not been dropped or immersed in water, which is very worrying.

According to reports, some of these black dots appear around the front camera. Furthermore, some appear in the upper right corner of the phone. Some users believe that this is a dead pixel on the screen, but it is unclear whether the problem is a hardware fault or a software issue. It’s worth mentioning that a black spot on one of the users’ Google Pixel 6 disappeared automatically after installing the March security update, which is rare. As of now, there is no public acknowledgement of this issue from Google, thus we are not sure how widespread the issue is.
