Apple is gearing up to introduce the Apple Watch Pro rugged smartwatch. The new device will mark a new step for the Apple Watch series. After all, the company will be introducing not only “standard-consumer-focused” wearables, but something for those who venture through extreme circumstances. However, getting the so-called Apple Watch Pro Rugged smartwatch won’t be an easy task if you’re not ready to pay. According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new Apple Watch Pro will be more durable with a titanium case, but that comes at a $900 price tag.

Larger Apple Watch Pro with titanium finish
Interestingly, the reports say that the new smartwatch will have a larger display. It will be bigger than the 1.9-inch panel present on the 45 mm Apple Watch Series 7. So, are looking at a smartwatch with a massive 2-inch screen? Or will it sit between the 1.9 and 2.0 mark, like 1.93, 1.95, or 1.97? Only the time will tell for now. Apparently, besides the titanium finish, the Apple Watch Pro will also be shatter-resistant. Maybe we’ll see some sort of Sapphire Glass coating for this display. That may be possible considering the small size and the price of the product. In addition to the premium materials, the wearable will bring advanced sports tracking for swimming and trekking. It will also have a larger battery and new health sensors.
According to Gurman, the new Apple Watch Pro Rugged smartwatch is targeting extreme sports enthusiasts. Customers who would otherwise pick a Garmin wearable will see a good option in the Apple Series watch. Worth noting that the price tag is still not set in stone, but the analyst expects it to come between the $900 and $999 price tag. As a result, Apple will likely discard its high-end Watch Edition model.
The Apple Watch Series 8 will be introduced most likely in September alongside the new iPhone 14 series. The Watch Pro will likely tag along.
