Huawei Watch 3 Pro (2022) launches on July 27 with ECG

Huawei Watch 3 Pro

Huawei may be struggling to keep the smartphone portfolio trending, however, it’s doing well in other categories. The company does not have the same restrictions on bringing smartwatches, true wireless earbuds and etc. That said, the company is preparing to launch a new Watch 3 Pro (2022) on July 27. Those following the company probably already know that the company has an event for that date. On that day, it will introduce the HarmonyOS 3, its Android replacement that is still very limited to China. The company will also bring a new Enjoy smartphone and an 11-inch MatePad Pro 2022 tablet computer. However, the focus today is the Huawei Watch 3 Pro (2022).

Huawei WATCH 3 Pro (2022) packs ECG

Huawei took to its official Weibo handle to publish a teaser video. It showcases the upcoming highlighting features of the new Huawei WATCH 3 Pro (2022). The new wearable is the annual refresh of Huawei’s premium smartwatch series. The wearable comes as a successor the last year’s Huawei Watch 3 Pro (2021). Curiously, Huawei is not bringing a Huawei Watch 4 Pro or even a Watch 5 Pro. Instead, the company is going for a yearly naming structure. It’s not my favorite, but I can only assume that the company means the new wearable is a side upgrade and not a new generation.

As per reports from ITHome, the wearable will bring a new navigation system. Huawei’s new app and system will enable bikers and runners in the city to keep track of where they are currently. They are heading on the watch’s display itself independently. Worth noting that the new wearable will also bring ECG features. To those unaware, the Electrocardiogram feature will allow users to track their current health status from heart rate and blood pressure data.

For comparison, the Huawei WATCH 3 Pro (2021) supports eSIM and has a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED panel with 466 x 466 pixels of resolution. The smartwatch packs 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of Internal Storage. The wearable also runs HarmonyOS 2.0. The Huawei Watch 3 Pro (2022) may bring similar specs with some potential upgrades. The wearable will be revealed on July 27th Wednesday at 7:30 pm Beijing Time (GMT +8) / 5 pm New Delhi Time (GMT +5:30) and 12:30 pm London Time (GMT +1).
