Lenovo is gearing up to introduce a new smartphone dubbed Lenovo Y70. The device will join the existing Lenovo Y-series that received the Lenovo Y90 earlier this year. The Y90 was a flagship smartphone with a focus on gaming features. However, the upcoming Lenovo Y70 will be a traditional flagship smartphone. The phone will reach the market on August 13 and will bring a 50 MP main camera. Today, we got some information on the phone’s said specifications.
Lenovo Legion Y70 alleged specifications
The Lenovo Y70 seems to be the so-called Lenovo Legion Halo. The phone already appeared on TENAA certification back in the last month. Thanks to the TENAA listing we have some of the phone’s specifications. For instance, it flaunts a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of about 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The Lenovo Y70 will also bring a 13 MP ultrawide shooter, and the main camera will bring Optical Image Stabilization. The device will shoot videos in 8K resolution.
Gizchina News of the week
Under the hood, the phone is rumored to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The phone has reportedly passed by the Geekbench benchmark database and we can only assume it’s really the Lenovo Legion Halo, which is the company’s response with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. In terms of specifications, the phone may also pack up to 16 GB of RAM with 512 GB of Internal Storage. Obviously, we’re expecting other variants to also appear such as 8 GB or 12 GB RAM Variants. There may also be 256 GB Storage versions. The variant with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB will likely be the more expensive.
The Lenovo Y70 will draw its powers from a huge battery with a 4,880 mAh battery. The device will have a weight of 205 grams. The phone will land in the Chinese market first. Unfortunately, there is no word about a global release for this handset. Worth noting, that Lenovo will be busy with the release of the Motorola Edge X30 Pro and Moto RAZR 2022.
