Motorola will soon make its return to the foldable segment with the launch of the Moto RAZR 2022. The company will hold a new product launch conference soon on August 2. The company will launch the new foldable as well as the new Moto Edge X30 aka Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, the world’s first 200 MP camera smartphone. According to a new report, the Moto RAZR 2022 will have a decent battery capacity after two tepid iterations in the series.
Previous reports have been suggesting a 2,800 mAh battery capacity for the Moto RAZR 2022. We all know the challenges of equipping these clamshell foldable smartphones with bigger batteries. However, a 2,800 mAh capacity would definitively be bad. Especially when Samsung is already achieving higher numbers with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. Furthermore, the past generations of the RAZR didn’t bring good batteries, so we would not see a big upgrade after all. However, the 2,800 mAh capacity wasn’t the real deal. According to an official report, the new phone comes with a 3,500 mAh battery.

Moto RAZR 2022 improves the battery capacity of the lineup
The 3,500 mAh capacity certainly is not on par with modern smartphones but is a decent amount given all design challenges. Moreover, compact devices like the Galaxy S22 have a 3,700 mAh capacity. And we don’t need to mention the iPhones with their tepid battery capacity. So, Motorola definitively made the homework after two generations with 2,510 mAh and 2,800 mAh capacity. The company is proud of the endurance provided by this battery when combined with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The new processor has 4 nm manufacturing and is definitively more efficient than the previous SD8 Gen 1. As a result, Motorola states the Moto RAZR 2022 can achieve an “entire day of battery life”.
As per previous information, the Moto RAZR 2022 will use a folded-up and down design. The device flaunts a 6.7-inch inner screen and supports Full HD+ resolution. The panel also has a 120 Hz refresh rate with a 3-inch outer screen. The device has a 32 MP selfie camera, a 50 MP main rear camera, and a 13 MP ultrawide snapper.
The Moto RAZR 2022 will hit the Chinese market on August 2, alongside the Moto Edge X30.
