Details about the iPhone 14 release date in India are still scarce. However, Apple will reportedly make the smartphone in the country. The upcoming smartphone has been subject to a myriad of leaks lately. Also, the iPhone 14 has been floating around the rumor mill for a long time. For instance, the Cupertino-based tech giant could radically overhaul the iPhone design this time around. Now, the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro could come without a notch. This is a notable change in iPhone’s distinct design element.
The word on the street is that Apple is on the verge of unveiling the iPhone 14. Further, the iPhone 14 launch event could take place next month. Apple will probably host an event on September 13 to announce the new iPhone. In the meantime, some vital pieces of production-related details have popped up on the internet. According to the tipster, the iPhone 14 will enter production in India at Foxconn’s production site in the country. Also, this will coincide with the handset’s China production for the first time. However, this is not the first time Apple is making an iPhone model in India. However, the new iPhone models usually start production in India about a quarter after other markets including China. My latest survey indicates Foxconn’s iPhone production site in India will ship the new 6.1″ iPhone 14 almost simultaneously with China for the first time in 2H22 (India being one quarter or more behind in the past).

Moreover, the reason behind making the new iPhone in India and China at the same time could be worldwide geo-political issues. Likewise, the COVID-19 lockdown could have led Apple to make this decision. To recap, Apple has been struggling with supply chain constraints with the Chinese manufacturers. So, the company could be gearing up to set up production sites outside China to combat the supply chain issues. According to Kuo, there will be a considerable gap between the production and shipment capabilities of the new iPhone in India and China.
Nevertheless, this is a major effort toward building a production site outside China to tackle different geo-political issues. However, Apple has been avoiding making the Pro models in India. So, it will be interesting to see if the company finally decides to make the Pro models in the country. The iPhone 14 could release in India next month.
