According to the results of the first half of the year, the number of Russian users of the social network TikTok, after a temporary decline, almost reached the figures for January. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statistics of operators.
According to Yota, the audience of TikTok users in June in Russia approximately returned to January figures. According to the company, after the introduction of restrictions, the service lost part of its audience and traffic, but the situation is already improving, and it is possible that the number of users will return to its former values.
“During the week from March 14 to 20, Yota customers spent 1.25 times more traffic on TikTok than in the week from June 13 to 19 – these periods became peaks in terms of maximum and minimum indicators. The number of users for the same week in March was 1.03 times more than in June. At the same time, the number of users in June returned to about January figures,” Yota’s press service told TASS.

Tele2 reported that in February-March 2022, TikTok caught up with YouTube in terms of traffic. Despite the fact that in the past four months, traffic consumption by Russians has fallen by 20%. TikTok’s performance remains stable in daily trends. “TikTok accounts for 50%, YouTube for 60% of the activity of all Tele2 subscribers,” the operator’s press service reports.
According to MTS Big Data experts, in June compared to January, the traffic of the service fell by 39%. And the number of unique TikTok users decreased by 7%. However, a decline took place for these indicators since February 2022, with the largest decline observed in April.
According to MegaFon, social network traffic in July compared to January was 16.7% lower, the operator did not report on the dynamics of the number of TikTok users.
