OnePlus started its pursuit of the stable Android 13 version back in the last week. As usual, the OnePlus 10 Pro as the company’s flagship was the first to get it. The device got its first OxygenOS 13 Open Beta to build in the last week. Now, the company is rolling out the second beta. Interestingly, OnePlus latest step into Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 stability coincides with Google’s rollout of Android 13. The full-fledged version of the update just reached Pixel owners early this week.
Worth notingthe that OnePlus 10 Pro units that are running the first Open Beta will receive the update in the next few days. The update will likely reach these users through the OTA channels. Meanwhile, those who didn’t enroll in the program and are running OxygenOS 12 will have to sign up for the update.
Gizchina News of the week
OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 2 update improves the OnePlus 10 Pro, but there are also some issues
As far as changes are concerned, the new 10 Pro OxygenOS 13 Open Beta introduces Aquamorphic Design Theme. Furthermore, it brings some improvements to the system’s stability and also improves the performance of the device. Furthermore, it upgrades HyperBoost GPA to version 4.0. According to OnePlus, the update stabilizes the OnePlus 10 Pro frame rate and balances the performance and power consumption in key scenarios.
Worth noting that this is a beta update. So it’s better to evaluate this before proceeding to install beta software on your costlier OnePlus 10 Pro flagship. Of course, enthusiasts will always proceed no matter the consequences. Still, it’s good to take the bugs in mind if the device is your daily driver. Among the bugs, it seems that RCC can’t work with this build. There are some limitations for MMS and IMC in some countries such as Kuwait and North Macedonia. There’s an abnormal dot popping out when you pair Bluetooth devices with the OnePlus 10 Pro. The same dot will pop out from times and times in the Status Bar. Furthermore, the Ultra Dark Mode can result in blurry photos when you combine it with zoom. If you don’t want to deal with these annoyances it’s better to keep your OnePlus 10 Pro on Android 12.
The OxygenOS 13 build was announced earlier this month along with the OnePlus 10T. We imagine that the new flagship will also be among the first OnePlus devices to get it.
