The Oppo A17 smartphone has been spotted on the BIS certification website. This is a sign that the A-series phone is coming to India soon. The company is prepping to unveil two new pocket-friendly smartphones under its Y series. The devices will reportedly arrive in select global markets with the Vivo Y22s and Vivo Y16 monikers.
The Vivo Y22s and Vivo Y16 smartphone specifications surfaced online earlier this week. Meanwhile, Oppo is prepping to launch a new A series phone dubbed the Oppo A17. Notably, the device will succeed the Oppo A16, which was launched in India last year. Now, the Oppo A17 has passed through the GCF and BIS certification websites.
The Oppo A series device has passed through the GCF certification website with model number CPH2477. Notably, this listing confirms the Oppo A17 moniker. Further, the device has been spotted on the BIS certification website with the same model number. So, the Oppo A17 will go official in some global markets including India soon. Likewise, the Vivo Y series phone has appeared on the GCF site with V2204 and V2206 model numbers.
Oppo A17, Vivo Y22s & Vivo Y16 Get Global Certification
The aforesaid devices could launch as the Vivo Y16 and Vivo Y22s. Regrettably, the site only confirms the monikers and model numbers of the devices. The Vivo Y22s and Y16 smartphone’s specs recently surfaced online through a leaked promo poster. The Vivo Y22s will reportedly pack the Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood. Further, the device will ship with 8GB of RAM and offer 8GB of Virtual RAM.
According to a GSM Arena report, the Y22s will use a 5,000mAh battery to draw its juices. This cell will support 18W fast charging. Moreover, the device sports a 90Hz display with a layer of 2.5D curved glass on top. It will also carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. For optics, the Y22s will house a 50MP main and a 2MP secondary camera on the back. Upfront, it features an 8MP camera for selfies.
The Vivo Y16 will offer 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Also, the device supports 1GB of Virtual RAM. Moreover, it will come with a 13MP f/2.2 main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor on the back. The device gets a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging. Also, it supports 5W reverse wireless charging. The phone will be available in Black and Gold color options. Oppo recently revealed the ColorOS 13, but these devices aren’t likely to get the new OS at launch.
