South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, will unveil its next Galaxy flagship series early next year. Over the past few weeks, there have been several exposures to the Galaxy S23 series – especially the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. This top flagship model from the reports so far should come with a 200-megapixel main camera. Today, popular tech blogger, @iceuniverse reveals an exclusive report on the Galaxy S23 series. According to him, the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s dimensions are 163.4×78.1×8.9 mm. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra dimensions are 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm. Thus, we can see that the Galaxy S23 Ultra is smaller but not by very much. @iceuniverse claims that the S23 Ultra is the flagship with the smallest changes in Samsung’s history.
Samsung Electronics Mobile Experience (MX) division confirmed with major camera partners that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be equipped with a 200-megapixel camera sensor. This flagship smartphone will use the unreleased 200-megapixel sensor ISOCELL HP2 sensor. This device will also come with a 5000 mAh battery but will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor under the hood.

In addition, Samsung approved the Hexa²pixel trademark on July 19, which may refer to the six-in-one image readout mode. This can add the charges induced in adjacent pixels together and read out in one-pixel mode. The pixels are combined into one-pixel output, which can increase the sensitivity by reducing the resolution under the condition that the FOV remains unchanged, thereby improving the dark-light imaging effect.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to use the SD8 Gen2
According to previous reports by Ming-Chi Kuo, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (SM8550) processor. Qualcomm claims that the 2022 Snapdragon Summit will hold for three days from November 15th to 17th. The company should unveil the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip at this event.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will use Qualcomm’s ultrasonic 3D wide area (3D Sonic Max) fingerprint scanning technology. This is one of the rumours making the rounds. This is the same as the ultrasonic 3D wide area fingerprint sensor used by Vivo X80 Pro, iQOO 9 Pro and other mobile phones. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will also offer a larger fingerprint recognition area and faster unlocking speed.
