The word on the street is that Apple will unveil the iPhone 14 series on September 7. The upcoming Apple event will serve as a launch pad for four iPhone models. However, details about the iPhone 14 series launch date are still scarce.
In the meantime, a new Apple device has passed through the Indian BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website. The BIS listing does not reveal the moniker this Apple smartphone will be carrying. However, a report by MySmartPrice suggests that the Apple device spotted on the BIS website will launch as the iPhone 14. Further, the possible iPhone 14 has model number A2882.

Apple is reportedly prepping to make iPhone 14 in India after launching the smartphone in the global markets. Notably, the iPhone 14 will be Apple’s entry-level offering for 2022. Regrettably, the BIS listing does not confirm the moniker of the Apple smartphone. However, it reveals that the possible iPhone 14 has an A2882 model number. To recap, the iPhone XR was listed on the BIS website with model number A2105. Likewise, the iPhone 11 had model number A2221 on the BIS website.

So, the iPhone 14’s appearance on the BIS website isn’t surprising. Apple could unveil the iPhone 14, alongside the iPhone 14 Max, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max at the September 7 launch event. In fact, the Cupertino-based tech giant has reportedly increased the iPhone 14 Pro Max display.
Despite the lack of an official confirmation, the iPhone 14 series has been subject to a lot of speculations. A report by Gadgets 360 suggests that the iPhone 14 will probably sport a 6.1-inch screen. Under the hood, it will pack the same A15 Bionic chip found on its predecessor, the iPhone 13. Further, the OLED panel is likely to deliver a 60Hz refresh rate. The device could come with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 12MP shooter. Upfront, it will reportedly house a 12MP selfie camera.
